Hawks Were alot better in this game then Sundays but not good enough to top the CHampion RedWings.The Hawks were shooting more and played a better game but hung Habby out to dry twice for both goals.Cleary goal was a clear break away and the over-time winner was a 3 on 1.Heart breaking loss to the wings.Both Hawks Goals were Toews.I like the way Kane played and Toews and Sharpy Campbell too.Seas needs to tighten up those turn over for game 3.Both it was a High Shot game both for Osgood and Habby but the bounces are all going the Wings way in this series and maybe this year.It's was a great season and i hope the Hawks can turn things around for the Home games on Friday and Sunday But not too sure.Being behind 0-2 is really hard Once again its a must win.It goes along what I was sayingIf we had a younger more talented goalie maybe we can stop some break away chances.But Guys the youngest Team in the League facing the Defending cup champs.Good Game Hawks just wasn't your nite

But back to Tomorrows game.I'm happy the Hawks made it this far No one thought in their wildiest dreams the Hawks would beat the Great Vancouver team with Roberto Luongo.We had a sweet year.If we do lose the series to the Wangs It still was a great year.I'll be upset for a day or two but Next year I'll love to see what the Hawks are going to do with Habby and the rest of the team needs.We are very much close to winning the Cup.You never know Maybe they can beat the Wing and get there.Go Hawks

Hawks were out gunned today.Habby kept them in ealry and fell apart late.I wish we had a younger more talented goaltender right now.I hope the Hawks playoff years to challenge for Lord Stanley Cup doesnt shut on the Hawks because of weaker goaltender play.This year will probably go to the Wings for a Back-to-Back Championship season.They are just way too good.Weak link Osgood.If the Hawks can muster a few more shot the puck will find the back of the nets.I didn't like How Versteeg played or Keith and Seasbrook played or Sharp.Kane Toews were no where to be found.Buff,Eager,Burish,even Brouwer came to play plus Campbell is really good today.Goals from Burish and Power play from Versteeg was it.2 by Clearly Frasen,Samulsson,empty netter by Zetterberg was the totals.

I love the way the game was played fast.Too many turn over for the Hawks.I love both teams so it hurt to even watch.But the Champs are the Champs its not if their going to win its how bad their going to beat the other teams.SoHawks your the next victim.I hate saying it but the Wings are Heart breakers.But to beat the Wing you need to punish everyone HARD.Way too many odd man rushes.You need to out shoot them Ozzy will give up easy ones then.But It's a learning lesson for my Hawks and another Cup for my WINGS

With the half of the game gone Hawks were down and out.No life all but dead.Luongo just made a save gave a rebound right to Eager and made a Highlight reel stick diving save.But after that Big Buff ran Luongo and hes wasn't happy someone touch him.Sharp final put the Hawks on the board with less then 9 minutes in the second.Then Sharpe on a Hawks Poer play.2to2 tie game.A sweet pass by Keith caught by Bolland nice deke passed Luongo

With Patrick Kane,Brian Campbell,Adam Burish and a empty net by Big Dustin Byfuglien And Khabibulin with 43 save and one allowed goal.This was Great.The Hawks came out fast scored two in the first frame.But the second half of the first and whole second Hawks didn't do much much skate skate skate and a power play goal from Brian Campbell made it 3-0.Calgary score in the middle of the 3rd frame but too little to late.Calgary looked old and too slow no more gooing for the Calgary Flames.I love the fact they beat the shit out of them Saturday night at the United Center and set the tone for the game 6 at Calgary.Shit boys WE MADE IT TO THE FUCKING SECOND ROUND.YOU GUY DID IT.I love the heart the balls and the nasty they all have.

WOW Great game great passion from the boys in RED!!! 5-1 ass kicking after falling flat for 2 games in Calgary.The first period was key with Seabrook's first goal of the game beating Kiprusoff. then Sharp then Verteeg all quickly within minutes the score was 3-o Hawks.The the second started with the Flames score to make things 3-1 But Ladd stuffed one in the Kipruoff was pulled he was visably unhappy after Mike Keenan had a short convo with him he walked down the run way but soon after came back to watch the rest of the game on the bench.Walker in the first took a hard shot off the inside of his palm as he took off his glove it looke dlike his middle finger was grossly broken badly he came back and played the rest of the game,Not sure if hes going o be around for the rest of the playoff but I hope so.That finger did look nasty thou!The third was more Hawks Barker score and that was about it.Habby was iffy in the net he didn't face alot of shot which probably the game plan but to win it all you have to not hide the net minder because hes is supposed to be the strength of the team.

Poor outting for the boys.Starting with Patrick kane out this game with the flu bug.Hawks scored first on a power play by Partick Sharp.the rest was Calgary all the way.Nystrom,Bourque Moss twice the Havlat with the game out of hand.Then the game gets ugly Burish cross checks Bourque probably cuz all the runs he took on Kane the last two games then it was a big pile of face washes.and pushes and shoves.But all in all it's a loss. United Center is Rocking again gang.The First period looked bad Hawks down by 2 power play goal by Jerome Iginla and another Calgary goal by Aucoin to put them up by 2.Once again Kane was run time after time after time by ex-hawk renne bourque.What a little bitch.The other flames were no angles in the first period too.After the whistle bullshit.But the second period was the key to the Hawks win.They had a minute of power play time and The Captain Jonathan Toews finally got one pass Kiprusoff.2to1 early then a great pass from a speeding Patrick Kane to Patrick Sharp which he took the pass from backhand and tipped it to his forehand and Kiprusoof was completely out of his goal.2to2Then with under 30 second in the second Toews scored his second on the night to put the Hawks in the lead 3-2As Khabibulin was great again stood on his head for the second straight game. The two goals he allowed one was a poer play rebound cashed in from Flames Captain and Keith wasn't on him hard enough. And the Second goal was a flubbed Keith back to Habby which Aucoin jammed home.But the rest of the nite Habby was making out of his mind saves.Hawks are in the driver seat which a 2-0 series lead and travling to Calgary the Hawks need a better first period and not playing from behind.These guy take runs at our star players and Kiprusoff is a little bit of a goon too.Sticking people around his crease after the play has been blewn dead.I love the Hawks responded and Take charge and Big Buff plays the body nicely I love it.Burish and Eager Brouwer are the grinders,I like to see Kane step up and maybe kick in a goal to help out Toews.But I cannot believe the saves Habby is making .I want him not to be tired with the travel and him being older and just playing two hard fought close games.Can he make it 3 great games in arow without having that stinker of a game.I will love to see Mondays hugh tilt.

This game was a very serious high tempo and skill.Hawks had ay too many nerves and playing tight.Khabibulin was GREAT and he stood on his head all night.The only goals allowed were tough.Hjalmasson had a rough game he didn't tie up Moss'es stick and before Habby could get his glove all the way down it was in the net.Second goal Dave Bolland was caught in deep and a 2 on 1 was tucked home by Cammalleri.But Hawks were dominated for the first 40 mintues but then they pulled out of it.Barker Shot was blocked and he got it back and shot it right back passed Kiprusoff.Who was big tonite in nets for the Flames.The Captain Jerome Iginla once again was shut down but Keith and Seabrook every time he was on the ice .In my eyes Calgary is a bunch of cheap shot artist.Starting with ex-Hawk Renee Bourque as he threw Little Patrick Kane in to the boards in the 2nd.The Crowd was Loud and the as the Flames took the lead with only 5 minute and some change the Hawks just battled and battled the Havlat shot in his own rebound of Kiprusoff at the 3 minute mark.Then in Over time 12 second in Havlat took the Dave Bolland pass after a sweet interecepted pass attempt and feathered tMarty for the game winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hawks Came out on fire to tie the game but to give up the lead late on Vermette power play goal on a Baker penalty.But ealrier in the period Seabrook score seconds after the Hawks power play ends to make it 2-1.a few minutes later another Hawks power play Ducan Keith shot re-directed by Verteeg.Both second period goals were big Buff screening Jakcets goalie Dubielewiz.to make the score 2-2 but Late poer play goal by vermette made the score 3-2 Jackets.Big checking thru out this period a nice fave after a Boll elbow to Campbell and Big Matt Walker came and beat the piss out of Boll. Hawks totally dominated by the charging Blue Jackets in the First.Columbus scored quickly with a bad bounce of Huet rebound and bounce off Hawks Defense man Brain Campbell and Vermette scores his 11th on the year.A few scoreless power plays for the Hawks and Huselius had a break-a-way fancy deke and beat Huet badly with a fake pump shot and Huselius had the whole net open to tuck it in.Jacket up 2-0.The fourth line of Fraser,Eager,Burish were solid and had some nice chances on Blue Jackets goal tender Wade Dubiewicz but he was all over each chance and all stopped Hawks 9 shots.Havlat back in the BlackHawks line up.No Fights.I think the Hawks need to just keep putting shots to the net minder and keep putting pressure on Dubiewicz.

One of those game you can't wait until its over.Huet not in goal Antti Niemi in goal today and he wasn't the sharpiest but it looks like he didn't get alot of help.Especially Brian Campbell.I'm not liking this guy alot lately.Hasn't scored turns pucks over make bad passes and choices.Only good think Toews scores his 28th.The rest of the game was sloppy slow, silly penalties.The last place time looked like a first place time.5-1 loss one word UGLY!

Two back to back forgettable games.I understand they had to travel back to Chicago yesterday.I understadn they rested or wanted Antti Niemi in goal but We have a glowing problem in Chicago and thats in goal.Will Khabiblulin injured and up in age,Huet a hugh pay check the million dollar mistake and a young Goalie that need more playing time in Niemi.I'm not sure how much noise were going to make in these playoffs.I watch Nashville and Columbus and lower teams with good goaltenders and they steal games from the likes of the Hawks and Wings and top ranked teams.I know to win the stanley cup you need good defense timely scoring and at time a great goalie play.

Saturday days game in bean town.The Boys looks good and Huetsa again looks aweful!The game was hard to take but goals by Kane(21)Toews(27)Verteeg(17) and solid offense was key to the come bakc.If both Havlats posts were goals Hawks would of won this game.But Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas was good all game and a bit shaeky at the end but with our goalie pulled empty netter scored sealed the loss for the Chicago club.Game tomorrow is home game at United Center vs. Colorado.

Trade deadline came and went and the Hawks only deal was the trade for Chicago Defense man Jame Wisniewski and minor leaguer Petri Kontiola for Centerman Samuel Pahlsson and minor leaguer D-man Logan Stephenson his 6'3 185 from Saskatoon Sk Canada.Pahlsson has 5 goal and 10 assists this year and been out with mono since Feb 2 and still needs a week or two until he will enter the BlackHawks line up.Pahlsson will be that man face-off guy that the Hawks so need right now.I love this guy.He was a big piece for the Ducks in winning the Stanley Cup in 2007.His not a big goal scorer but he will get in those dirty areas and get beat up in front of the other goalie.He will also bring veteran leadership in a locker room full of kids.Can't wait to see James Wisniewski succeed in Anaheim because he'll get a ton more minutes and I want to see him do well and we shall miss him here.

Kings who handled the Hakws easily twice this year,Today was a different story.Antti Niemi was soild first time in net two gaols in the first period and no more after that.22 saves on 24 shots looked nervous in the first frame but settled in nicely after that.I loved the quick striking speed Hawks showed today. Huet good but gave up two.The High stick allowed gaol was pretty much the game changer.I hate video review.So On the Hawks loss.Only the 4th loss at thome this season.We were winning the shots on goal battle the kid from the Wild was good and pretty lucky.Robbing Toews and Brouwer and glorious chances.Long story short Hawks had to travel and played a great game yesterday afternoon and not saying they looked really tired but a step off or a inch behind their normal sharpiness.

Two Games left for this month of February with travel to Nashville Tues and Home again against Pittsburgh.With a day off I think the Hawks will start winning again soon.

Good game guys! Nice win especially after being on the road for almost a month straight. Huet gets the 100th win of his career. After a chippy start, it ended on a bland note although the Hawks won. Big Byf almost got a goal but couldn't get it past Turco and the puck went all the way down to the other side of the ice which in turn led to Dallas getting their only goal of the game. Not too much from Toews today but Havlat, Versteeg, Wis, and Kane were all over the place. Lots of shots on goal and overall nice defense.

Trade rumors about Khabby being traded for a sharp shooter but hopefully those are just rumors. The one goalie sytem must be put into play before the playoffs. So if Huet keeps up the way he has been playing he might be the right man. I personally like Khabby better though. Huet can definately play when he focuses. Next game tomorrow Sun, 2-22 against the Wild at Chicago.

Lots of skirmishes!! Nice. About time Dallas got a little taste of their own nasty medicine. And good for you Hawks for not taking their shit. Early on Havlat almost got a Forsberg-esk goal past Turco but no luck. Then Wis scores the first goal with a nice slap shot making it his second of the season. (Happy 25th Wis-have a good one!) Then Kane almost got one in but no.

Nice shots on goal. Great teamwork and even better self policing. Barker got some shots in on #13 of Dallas for running Wis and Kane. Toews and the rest of the Hawks on ice got in on that, too. Seabrook got into it with Ott for cross checking him. So we get a few penalties, it's worth it to see the Stars get roughed a little. About time.

Hawks Win BIG Against Panthers

So, Tommy The Tout is feeling a little under the weather and I (his lady) will be filling in tonight. Humor me. After days of hearing nothing but the Panthers expected win over the Hawks, the Hawks pulled off an awesome win with a final score of 4-0. Nice. The guys really stepped it up tonight and should enjoy every second of this victory. Huet was really on top of his game with 31 saves leading to his third consecutive victory and a much deserved shut out.

Goals
First goal of the game scored by Ladd in the first period giving him his 10th of the season. Panthers, nothing... Then second period, Eager gets his 9th of the season making the score 2-0. Nice lead but let's get a few more. Third period, Toews makes it 3-0 with his 21st of the season. As a captain I think he assists his teammates with goals, encourages them to do their best and picks them up when they are down (sometimes literally). I must admit I had my doubts about him at first but I have really grown to like him as a player and a captain. Maybe my favorite, next to Khabibulin that is. End of the third, Eager gets another sweet goal making it 4-0 giving him his tenth of the season. I was hoping for a hat trick for him as he coasted around the net during the last few seconds but maybe next time.

Over all great game. The Hawks do need to learn not to take the bullying but they will over time. I just feel so bad when I see Kane or Toews get slammed into the boards and nobody even flinches or comes to their defense. Enjoy the win and keep up the teamwork because it is totally paying off! Can't wait to see them Saturday against the Dallas Stars.

Havlat, Toews, Kane Ride Hawks to Road Victory Come Back

Tampa Bay Lighting 3, Chicago Blackhawks 5 F

Huet was iffy early but the Hawks out shot the Lighting 49 to 22. Steven Stamkos had his first career Hat Trick with many more to come I'm sure. All nite Chicago trailing 3-1. Big Dustin Byfuglien hit on the Lighting scorer Downie went to protect the young star. With a late period power play Toews scores! makes the score now 3-2 Lighting going into the start of the third. Chicago's speed was too much and Patrick Kane scored the equalizer at 3's on a power play early 3rd. Martin Havlat was again great tonite getting two assists this nite. But with the moves he made and Bolland capping the great play off with a water bottle rattler to make the score 4 -3 Hawks and for good measure Toews hit number 20 of the year on another great play from Kane to get the puck out of the Chicago zone up ice and a great laser shot to cap off the game scoring 5-3. Burish almost netted an empty net but a bouncing puck and a Lighting player on his heel, the clock ran out.

But tonite's victory is a first step at learning to win. The kids need to learn to come back. Only 1-10-2 aftert trailing after 2 periods. That's not good enought to become an elite team in the NHL. But the coaching staff mixs up the lines at the right time. I'm very pleased at how they pushed thru and came out on top. Awesome win guys. The fights at the end of the second period I think got the guys awake and Toews' end of the 2nd power play goal was the start of the come back.

Without Patrick Sharp for a few weeks we need to get used to winning without his top scoring talent. But they all stepped up and fought hard for this win.

Huet is looking like the old Huet- very shaky. Then with late period fireworks Adam Burish and Hall get it going but Hall gets the best of Burish and not by much. Both get 5 for fighting. Then Dustin Byfuglien lays a slicing hit on Stamkos and Downie goes right for Big Buff and Buff just smokes him good. Downie gets 5 for fighting, 2 minutes for instigating and 10 minutes for misconduct. Byfuglien 5 for fighting. Hawks get a late period power play. Huet in goal for Hawks. Ramo for the Lighting. Very fast moving first with 2 power plays that tallied none. Duncan Keith tapped home a Havlat, Seabrook assisted to score his 7th of the year. Ramo thought Havlat was going to shoot and was way too square to the shooter and Keith snuck in to make a sweet play. Then a few minutes later a funny bounce off the end boards came out the other side of Huet's net and just couldn't get to the left post in time from Steven Stamkos for his 8th of the year. No fights. No big hits. No physical play. Hawks out shot the Lighting 19 to 3. Another road game and it's the third straight game Huet is in goal. I'm not sure I liked the Stamkos goal- a bit of a softie but I feel the Blackhawks have a nice jump and the Lighting have a struggling team. I feel they'll really open things up in the next period. Hawks dominated this period and to be tied isn't good. Controlling the play and a few more power plays its a matter of time. Need the "Big Guns" to come out.

Heut in goal tonite and Stars come out body checking everything in a red sweater.With all the pounding Patrick Sharp looks like he hyper extended his left knee and left the game for good.I really hope he not hurt bad for long beause he's one of the Hawks top guns,leading the Hawks in goal with 23 and 15 assists.The lone goal was from troy Brouwer his 8th from Toews and Kane to beat Turco.No fights but it was a physical frame.Hawks only took one penalty in this period unlike yesterdays kill fest.Hawks look good they adjested to the big hits and threw a few themselves.Huets looks sharp scond nite in goal due to Khabibulins injury against Atlanta Weds nite.

Lone Power Play goal from Boyes assists from McDonald,Oshie.Hawks big guns can't net one.Kane pestered by Jackman all nite long.This one was very winable.I think the Hawks need a Marquee Player.I love the youth but Havlat is good but we need great so that player like Malkin,Crosby,Ovechkin type guy to just take over and win a game like this.Huet was great in net 22 saves.I'm always so critical of him but I can't be with tonite way he played.I don't like all the rough stuff our guys encountered and yes there was two fights but with the time running down the end of the game Kane was railroaded in the boards I'm not sure by who but the puck was cleared down the ice and Such a little guy Kanner came back on the ice because Havlat got a penalty so Hawks back to back power plays but no call on that Kane call.Bad Game .

With the second frame opening with a Hawks power play failed to score a goal. No goals for Blues No goals for Hawks. The Hawks best chances were both posts shots. Huet's seeing a total of 11 shots on goal and Mason seeing 13 shots total on goal. One post was hit by Seabrook coming into play with a huge pile up in front of the Blues net minder. Second nice post shot was by Brouwer after a nice feed from Havlat. Then the play turns dicey with Ben Eager and Winchester getting into it with only 23 second in the 2nd. Then after the horn sounds Burish and Crombee were going to go but a linesman got in Burish's way and two handed him into the boards in a rude fashion. No goals but lots of bad intentions.

In the Philips Areana in Atlanta the Hawks came in tp play the lowly Thrashers.This game was closer then the score.A few disallowed goals on the home team and the outstanding goltender play by Nikolai Khabibulin was not what they wanted to see come in.The first frame was boring and the Hawks players were getting their legs under themselves.And not seeing the Thrashers often they were getting used to one another.

Second was better.With a power play goal for Patrick Sharp his 23rd of the year.Thrashers goalie Kari Lehtonen was very good which was surprising.But the Hawks took a penalty and Kovalchuk scored his 24 on their power play. The BlackHawks on another power play set up by Barker and a sweet shot from Kane a tap in for the Captain Johanthan Toews his 17th Hawks in front 2 to 1 And in the remaning second of the second it was a break-away for Kovalchuk took a shot and the rebound went passed Habby by video review shows time has expires before the puck was in NO GOAL to end the second.The Thrashers Captain Kovalchuk had long shifts and was very dominate against the Hawks.The final goal was Dave Bolland empty netter short-handed his 12th to cap the scoring in the game.3-1 Final

At least the Big guns on the Hawks are starting to finally come to catch alittle fire here.Sharpy,Tazzer,Kaner,The Hawks had two healthy scratches with Dustin Byfuglien,James Wisniewski for Aaron Johnson and Craig Adams in.
The Hawks go 5 wins and 2 losses with St. Louis remaining on Friday night which is a good game to end this long road trip.With red hot Dallas Stars coming in on Saturday which will big a hugh test with the Hawks playing a little below average lately But tonites 2pts are big.With the seasons end approaching fast any wins are hugh.

This game started ugly within the first minutes Huet gave up a quick goal to H.Sedin(9) a few minutes later on one of many Vancouver power plays on the evening Matis Sundin scored his 4th goal of the year.2 zero bad guys within 4 minutes of the game.Kesler scored his 13th to close out the first peroid 3 zero.With Huet not looking sharp a goalie change in the second.Enter Khabibulin also looked shaky but with a 4 on 3 power play the other D. Sedin(23) brother scored after Bernier(12) scored on Habby.Now with the score 5 zero another fast quick goal on another power play by Edler his 5th on the year.Bad bad bad game .Tired team.Not focused.Some bad luck the third goal on the nite Kelser scores really off wizzer leg accidently kicked the puck passed Huet without him even knowing he kick it in.Bad break.Many Hawks shots hit legs,skates and sticks not getting all the way to the Vancouver netminder even thou he stopped 36 shots.Overall a nasty game you just look pass.

But then as the third started Hawks had some fire and on one more power play against Verteeg scored his 15th of the year finally getting one passed Roberto.Soon after As the Hawks were buaain the Canucks zone Adam Burish nets his 5th a career best for him Good job you goon.A rare Power paly for Chicago Havlet scores his 17th.As the clocked showed 9 minutes and clicking ,Chicago had another power play and did nothing with it but Kelser get behind a Duncan Keith which caught and edge and fell down and it was a clear breakaway goal by Khabibulin.Final 7 to 3

Chalk that game up to the guys minds are getting home because the next game isn't until Weds Feb 11th @ Atlanta.So I like the record 4 win 2 losses.So lets give the Blackhawks credit, for getting 8 out of the possible 12 points available.Beat Ducks,Sharks,Oilers,Flames but two hic-ups against L.A. Kings and Tonite with the Vancouver team that was very very beatable.

Another great win by the boys. Khabibulin was once again solid tonite.Only a break-away Bertuzzi out of the pen box and a late first period Phaneuf goal was all Habby allowed. 29 save of 31 shots.Goals by Bolland(11) within first minute of game,A.Ladd(9),A.Burish(4)Fraser(4) and an empty netter by Brouwer(7) set the Hawks to beat a good Calgary club .The first was fast and alot of scoring.
Miikka Kiprusoff was sold too and Khabibulin was just a touch better.With the speed of the Young Hawks andthe over-all talent your not going to bully them like Calgary likes to do.Calgary look tired and faded toward the second period.Good board checking and defensive toughiness are hugh keys in winning the Stanley Cup here in Chicago one day.I liked the grit in Jonathan Toews tonite a quite night but early as a Flamer ran over Brain Campbell The Captain was the first on the scene and I never saw that side of J.T. before.I would like to say I follow many NHL Teams I like Sidney Crosby and as of late he was dropping the gloves due to the teams down fall and lack of winning.As a Captain I like Sidneys grit also to pick times when to stir some energy and when just to pick up his game.I think Toews can take some pointers from watching and learning from Sidney.But I liked what I'm seeing on the ice as a whole.I like to see next month when the likes of the Kings,Ducks Boston,Avalance,Carolina which is a killer schedule to deal with.And Later March doesn't get any earier with Twice New Jersey Sharks on tap.If everyone keeps healthy I think we can really go pretty deep in the playoffs.

But Tonites contest was awesome.no fights but it was well played and super exiciting.

Barker (4), D.Bolland(10),M.Havlet(16) raise the Hawks over the Oilers in their on barn.But with first goal by the Oilers Captain Ethan Moreau.But their best line unable to cash in was Penner,Stortini,Cogliano was always buzzing giving the Hawks troubl;e all night.But never could get a goal past Huet.20 saves by Huet and usually I'm down on him but I'll give credit were credit is due.C. Huet played very well tonite No soft goals and I liked the stops he stopped.

Our D-men Wizer,Walker,Seabrook,Keith were all on top of their game great hits and keeping all top scorers awys from those good scoring areas.Great job.I want to see the Hawks beat Calgary Thursday which is a better challange but over all a very good victory now 4 wins and 1 ones on this road trip and 2 more great points GO HAWKS

Hawks Steal win in San Jose since 2003 4 to 2

This game was just fucking sweet from the jump! Hawks came out flying and I'll give credit to the Sharks they had their chances and all but out played and finally beaten. I didn't like all the cheap shots and suttle after the whistle shots the Sharks do to our guys. Like after Toews scored his first goal, just after he scores a guy takes his legs out from under him. But the first period went one with a Dave Bolland goal that was wiped out due to a Pat Kane 4 minute high sticking call even thought the refs had Versteeg in the box. So with the Hawks ahead 1 to nothing 4 minutes to San Jose they score and it's tied. I want to say it was a let down but the guys didn't lose their jump at all. No more scoring in the First. Loved the passing Havlat and Versteeg were outstanding,Toews kicking in goals too which was amazing. Our D men were very quick and on top of the high powered Shark snipers all nite. Great complete win guys 5 STARS.

Second frame with Duncan in the box for slashing, Dave Bolland blocked a shot from the blue line b-lined it for Nabokov but was hauled down by Ehrhoff with a penalty coming Bolland from his pants took a shot and Verteeg was their for his 6th goal of the year short-handed Hawks up 2 to 1. It was a Great Play. Then later on in the 2nd Toews tallies his second of the night top self pretty goal. All night the smaller Hawks were faster and passes were more crisp then the mighty mighty San Jose Sharks. Nabokov coming into to tonights game was like 3 games worth of a shut out streak, which ended quick at the start of the game with Toews nice goal his 15th and 16th tonite. Khabibulin once again was great. I have been very shocked with his play coming off the All Star break. He stopped 32 of 34 shots and one power play goal and one 5 on 5. I say he's been stellar against the Duck Weds night and tonite with two back to back great nights. I think it's time to Start Habby full time and give the Huet experience a rest only for Habbys rest or if he gets injured. I think Joel should make the move and I'm not sure whos behind the switch -a-roo goaltender musical chairs, I'm not a fan of it. I love the way Khabibulin is playing- keep the hot hand and ride it til it breaks man. Damn!

The 3rd was more Hawks speed and talent verses big linebackers that trip, grab and tackle every chance they get. Nor do I want to see them in a 7 game series. Keith scored to make it 4 to 1. Then Sharks Michalek scored late to make it 4 to 2 as the final will read. All around a huge win in their building first time since March 2003. Wow I am impressed.
So this road trip Hawks are now 2 wins and 1 loss. I'm not happy with losing to the Kings but happy beating the Sharks. With two off days to travel to Edmonton I hope the Hawks don't have a let down game.

But with Toews stepping up tonite and the play of Habby I like the winning ways again. Very big win. I gave the Hawks no chance tonite but I was proved wrong.

Kings drop Hawks 5-2

Well guys tonites game was fast and it's ashame we didn't whip this bad team and young goaltender Johnathan Quick on his 6th NHL Starts was pretty damn good.The Hawks started the first 5 minutes fast and started to get their legs going a wrap-around try slammed shut by Quick and then the Hawks started taking penalties which shows a tried team.Tired from last night hard fought battle. Brown scored on the back of a 5 on 3 power play.Then Stoll to make it 2 nothing at the end of one.

The Second frame had O'Sullivan score a short handed goal to make it 3 to nothing and pretty much you can see the end.Huet isn't the big money goaltender we all thought he was. Can you imagine if we did ship Khabibulin off somewhere else.We would be deep in trouble. The first goal of the game was a tough one it skipped by big rent Seabrook and past Huet.But I say the three other goal were soft. I don't like how he doesn't come out and challenge shooters I don't like how he can't make the big save like Khabby did last night.This Hawks team has way too much talent to be losing to lesser teams like this.Even on the back-to-back nights like this.

And The start of the 3rd we hit everything but the back of the net.But I can say the whole game was like that it was like Our aim was off.Havlat another good solid game.Kane getting back on track.We got Bolland and Sharp for two late period mercy goals but that was their lame attempt to get back in the game.But Frolov and Brown capped the Kings scoring.It was a sad game and I wish more of the off targeted shots went in and this game should of been a 9to5 laugher.But We came of alittle flat coupled with some tired penalties you get behind 2 goals and thats that.I don't like how we can't crawl back into games.Once again young team has to learn the comeback.

With one day off and A hugh game in front of these Hawks in game 3 of the road trip Playing in San Jose will be a nasty task.But I like to watch how we responde losing tonite.All in all I liked the passion the guys played with tonite and if it wasn't for all the crazy shots I say it was an easy win.It was lucky for the Kings to steal that one .

Hawks Hold Off Ducks to Start Road Trip with Win

Tonite's game was a great one.It's was nice to see the speed back in the guys legs again.I'm very critical of our goaltending but tonite, Khabibulin was SUPER.Stopping 36 of 38 in the Honda Center in which we always lose.He had some amazing saving and he earned his victory.With the late 3rd period flurry with Getzlaf and Perry Selanne just buzzing.Bobby Ryan the rookie scored his 17th goal on a Ducks power play to tie the score at one a piece after Adam Burish Scored to open the games scoring.Jonad Hiller was very strong all night long.He had to deal with Patrick Sharp,Johnathan Toews,Patrick Kane a new line change for tonites contest.But a few player tonite catch my eye,Matt Walker had a nice scrap with Ducks tough guy George Parros from the fact Parros ran over Brain Campbell.

I loved the engery the Hawks had.Some other player I was very pleased to see play solid games, Craig Adams ,Havlat,Ladd was strong.And The return of Ducan Keith he was back paired with Seabrook as they played against the Ducks top line all night long. the did a shut down job and after that last game against St Louis before the All Star Break this looked like a different team.Against a very good Anaheim Ducks team sitting in te 6th seed of the play off picture playing desprite tonite was the Ducks.At times they looked unlike the Stanley Cup Champions of 2007 , a little slow and old lumberjacks on skates.But they turned it up at the end but couldn't get the puck in the net vs Khabibulin which I want to express he was really great making highlight reel saves.

Toews our captain looking finally good. usually his passes are off and or picked off .Tonite he was fast and quick and turned on a dime,he made a couple of nice plays and scored a nice goal set up from Keith and Bolland.Patrick Kane scored a power play goal and his first goal since December 20th.It's nice to see our ypung guns start chipping in finally.I didn't like the end of the game with raser losing 4 stright face off in our end under a minute God I hope he breaks his leg or something so he can just go away.I don't see what Joel sees to put him out in very important times of games for this fucking bum to lose face off after face off man he sucks.But Khabibulin bailed him out with hes Roy-like play tonite he even looked young Go Khabby!!!!!!

Now the Hawks started the Longest road trip longer then any other team this year ,Tomorrow night vs the L.A. Kings.I'm very happy the team played well and didn't tie or lose in over time.Very well played high tempo, nice hits , one good fight ,outstanding goaltender play timely scoring.I would of liked a few more goals but we're a young team and in time well learn to score more and close out better teams and steal wins from more talented teams in the future.

But Kane stepped up along with Sharp ,Toews good games ,The defense was stout and all six d-men I give credit too becasue the Ducks usually make the Hawks look silly in that building with ease.
I hope to see more games like tonites and I hope they can beat the Kings tomorrow too.

Mid Season Player Grades

Well as surprised as I am about this wonder start and not so wonderful All-Star break finish,I want to Give my Mid point Season Grades on the BlackHawk Players and How they player over all in the first 4 months.If the playoffs start today we are 4th seed with home ice.That is really something.I'm am one of the very few that watched Hawks away games with lousy management and below average playersunder achieving.From the likes of Alex Zhamnov,Eric Daze,Tony Amonte,I love those guys but they had no surrounding supporting cast around them.Lets not even talk about the goaltenders back then either Jeff Hackett,Chris Terreri,Steve Passamore,Jocelyn Thibault Dam these guys suck worst then the two we got now damn.Ok lets get right to the Grades!!!!!!!!!!

Well Gang Tonites game looked so sad I wanted to turn it off.We lost to a second string goalie in Mason for the Blues.I love the hands of Dustin Byfuglien tonight this guys awful.In the first he had a great chance due to fine passing from Havlat and The Captain Toews set the table for him but he shanked it bad.We had no legs tonite.We are chasing our tails out there against a 15th ranked St.Louis Blues team.WOW

I mean do we miss Duncan Keith that bad? I say no Niklas Hjalmarsson filled in nicely hes no Duncan but He played solid as much as he was out there.I can say much good about my guys because I see nothing but bad.

When I don't see a player giving it all or a guy disappears I call them GHOSTS.So the last few games Sharpie is a GHOST,Bolland always a GHOST ,My favorite Hawk Patrick Kane Welcome to GHOSTVILLE #88Toews your the Mayor ,Ladd your a GHOST Also. the rest of the guy are grinders or plummers anyway and you can't really say there GHOSTS because their roll player types ie Burish,Byfuglien,.

We need to work on your power players big time .We're not burying teams like we did in the first few months of the new season.And now were just running around can't set it up even to get good shots.We are taking awful penalties and now the other teams are scoring on them.So well see if we straighten out after the break.

And Lets give two cheers for the french shive tonite can't stop a puck to save his ass.Two savable goals both went through his 5 hole but he has about 16 holes so lets move on.Can we get a goalie that can stop the soft goals in Chicago?

We need that passion back and I won't even start on the head coach Q.NOT A FAN I liked Savy and I think they were too quick on the draw in the firing of him.I don't think Joel is whom we need here he is a lame duck coach and we are now finding out his true colors.All his teams ran hot and cold and then more cold then hot then exit stage left Mr.Q.So We ran a how streak not due to the coach trust me.He's not Scotty Bowman,Mike Keenan or Ken Hitchcock.I would like to see on this next nice 8 game westcoast road swing that stars with Ducks next Weds King very next day Thurs one day later the number one team in the league Sharks on Sat then up North to Edmonton Tues Feb 3rd Calgary Feb 5th Vancouver Sat Feb 7th.Finishing up back down to Atlanta Feb 11th Weds and Friday Night is to St.Louis Feb13th.That is a very large task to handle.

My crystal ball reads lost to Duck due to rust.Win vs LA.Lost toSharks.Win vs Edm.Lost to Calgary.Win Vs Vancouver.Win vs Atlanta and Win against Blues. And Dallas waits for first home game since tonites loss Jan 21sat.

Lets just hope everyone gets healthy.And we get our shit together and we start to make that final playoff push to grab all the points we can get.Were letting these llttle sister teams beat us again.Where did all those goals we were scoring early season style go?So which are the real Blackhawks?These slow and sad looking guys ? Or the fast can't stop them as in the first two months of the year?

It all shows we need to have better play from the scorers and alot better play from the gloatenders.Well I hope to see the Hawks still make a playoff birth.
